TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS:Signing

The Seattle Sounders have announced the signing of goalkeeper Spencer Richey, a Seattle native who was most recently with FC Cincinnati.

Richey joins the team after a two-year spell with Cincinnati, where he played 29 games and recorded four clean sheets while splitting goalkeeping duties with Przemyslaw Tyton. Richey's time with Cincinnati came to an end following the 2020 season, when his contract expired.

While announcing Richey's signing, the Sounders also announced another move in the goalkeeping department. Homegrown goalkeeper Trey Muse will join the USL Championship's San Diego Loyal on loan, after previously spending time with Tacoma Defiance.

The Sounders' group of goalkeepers for the 2021 season seems to be set, with Richey joining Stefan Frei and Stefan Cleveland.
