There’s a new (old) favorite to win MLS Cup this season.

The Seattle Sounders have taken over the position from LAFC, per the latest FiveThirtyEight projections.

A week ago, the Sounders were fourth on the list of favorite teams to lift the Cup this December, behind LAFC, Columbus Crew SC and Philadelphia Union.

But the defending champs, fresh off a convincing win at the LA Galaxy Sunday, are now the favorites to go back-to-back.

The Rave Green have a 13 percent chance to win MLS Cup, according to FiveThirtyEight, followed by the Union, Crew, Toronto FC and LAFC, who each are at 11 percent.

Columbus are still the clear favorite to capture the Supporters’ Shield, despite a 3-1 loss to Toronto FC Sunday in East Hartford.

Caleb Porter’s side, which had a 54 percent likelihood a week ago, are at 40 percent this week, still far and away ahead of the pack, which includes the Union (21 percent), Sounders (15 percent) and Toronto FC (15 percent).
