With Liga MX announcing it has canceled the remainder of the 2020 Clausura campaign amid the COVID-19 Pandemic, it brought an end to Franco Jara's time at Pachuca, with the Argentine striker having signed a contract to join FC Dallas during the MLS secondary transfer window.

As such, Jara took to Instagram Saturday to author an emotional goodbye post to Los Tuzos, the club where he scored 63 league goals over five years (10 Liga MX split seasons.)

"A few hours from leaving for Dallas, I didnā€™t want to forget to give thanks through my channels for the enormous affection that I have received since I arrived here five years, and that Iā€™m leaving full of great moments lived," Jara wrote, translated from Spanish. "Although I wouldā€™ve liked that the circumstances of the goodbye were different, with the fans, surrounded by all the affection that I felt each time I stepped into the Tuzosā€™ stadium. Only I know what they have made me feel [wearing] these colors, and I hope I have made them happy with this shirt, those were always my intentions."

Dallas announced they had signed Jara in January to a Designated Player contract that would begin during an MLS Secondary Transfer Window, originally scheduled to be open on July 7. With the primary window currently paused along with the current MLS season due to the pandemic, it's still unclear exactly when Dallas will be able to officially add Jara to their ranks.

Jara joins a striking corps that includes veteran Czech forward Zdenek Ondrasek and a pair of promising young talents in Jesus Ferreira and Ricardo Pepi.
