eMLS Tournament Special Champions to be crowned Sunday
Four Weekly Champions – Los Angeles FC, Sporting Kansas City, New York City Football Club and Atlanta United – compete for the Championship title  

NEW YORK, N.Y. (Thursday, May 14, 2020) – Championship Sunday of eMLS Tournament Special presented by Coca-Cola® and PlayStation® will air on Sunday, May 17 on FS1 at 6 p.m. ET. The tournament will also air on TSN2 in Canada and will feature the four weekly champions: Los Angeles Football Club, Sporting Kansas City, New York City Football Club and Atlanta United all vying for the champion honors.


The five-episode series pits 16 MLS clubs against each other in EA SPORTS™ FIFA 20 competition. Four clubs compete each episode with the winning club from each of the first four weeks advancing to a Champions Bracket. Clubs are represented by both an MLS player and eMLS professional FIFA player.

Week One was won by LAFC’s Adama Diomande and Martin ‘RemiMartinn’ Oregel, Week Two saw Sporting Kansas City’s Wan Kuzain and Alexander ‘ALEKZANDUR’ Betancourt come out on top. NYCFC’s Sean Johnson and Chris ‘Didychrislito’ Holly were hailed champions of Week Three and most recently Atlanta United’s Franco Escobar and Paulo Neto advanced from Week Four.


After each episode, MLS WORKS, the league’s social responsibility platform, and FOX Sports will make a donation on behalf of the winning club to Feeding America®, with MLS also supporting Food Banks Canada. The eMLS Tournament Special will be hosted by FOX Sports Stu Holden, Rachel Bonnetta and Rodolfo Landeros, with color commentary from Mike LaBelle.
