LA Galaxy sign forward Cameron Dunbar to Homegrown contract

The LA Galaxy have signed winger Cameron Dunbar to a Homegrown contract, the club announced Thursday. 

Dunbar, 17, has featured for the Galaxy academy from the U-16 level an up, scoring 70 goals in Development Academy play since 2015. 

“Cameron has shown his quality as he has developed in our Academy and we are excited that he has signed his first professional contract,” said LA Galaxy General Manager Dennis te Kloese. “We are excited to see him continue to grow on and off the field as a professional.”

Dunbar joins Javier Hernandez, Cristian Pavon and Ethan Zubak as forward on the roster. 

The Galaxy continue their offseason preparations, that has seen the club acquire Hernandez as well as Aleksandar Katai, Sacha Kljestan, Emiliano Insua and more.

They open their season on February 29 against the Houston Dynamo.
