The 22-year-old Chilean signed with Dallas last July and has appeared in 21 games since in all competitions, but has struggled to make the impact projected by some, playing only 844 total minutes in league play since his arrival.
Part of that may have had to do with the weighty expectations he was assigned to Aranguiz after joining Dallas just weeks after Argentine playmaker Mauro Diaz after he left Dallas for the Middle East.
Earlier this season, Aranguiz earned his first Chilean U-23 call-up to participate in the Maurice Revello tournament in Toulon, France.
He returns to Union Espanola after first signing with the Chilean team in 2015 and scoring 11 goals in 3,335 total minutes before his move to Dallas.
