Atlanta United defender Mikey Ambrose will miss 3-5 weeks with a meniscus injury, the club announced Tuesday.
Ambrose, 25, has made two starts for the club this season and has made a total of 23 appearances in his MLS career, dating back to 2016.
Atlanta should be covered at left back in the interim, as George Bello returned to training on Monday. Defenders Florentin Pogba and Franco Escobar also recently returned from injury.
The club are next in action on Saturday against the New England Revolution (7:30 pm ET | MLS LIVE on ESPN+ in US, DAZN in Canada).
