MLS Disciplinary Committee issues fines to seven players

The MLS Disciplinary Committee has issued fines to seven players, one coach and one team following Week 35 of the MLS regular season, as well as the Knockout Round and first leg of the Conference Semifinals in the Audi 2018 MLS Cup Playoffs.


Tinnerholm simulation/embellishment

The Disciplinary Committee has found New York City FC defender Anton Tinnerholm guilty of simulation/embellishment. As a result, Tinnerholm has been fined an undisclosed amount. The incident occurred in the 55th minute of NYCFC's match against Philadelphia on Oct. 31.


Kreilach simulation/embellishment

The Disciplinary Committee has found Real Salt Lake midfielder Damir Kreilach guilty of simulation/embellishment. As a result, Kreilach has been fined an undisclosed amount. The incident occurred in the 20th minute of RSL's match against Sporting KC on Nov. 4.


Torres, Leerdam entering the field of play

The Disciplinary Committee has found Seattle Sounders defenders Roman Torres and Kelvin Leerdam guilty of entering the field of play. As a result, both players have been fined an undisclosed amount. The incident occurred in second-half stoppage time of the Sounders' game against San Jose on Oct. 28.


FC Dallas-Portland Timbers mass confrontation

The Disciplinary Committee has found both FC Dallas and the Portland Timbers to have violated the league's Mass Confrontation Policy. The incident in question took place in first-half stoppage time of the teams' match on Oct. 31.


FC Dallas, as well as head coach Oscar Pareja, each have been fined an undisclosed amount for the club's second violation of the league's policy this season. The Timbers have been issued a warning for the club's first violation of the policy this season.


Ziegler hands to face/head/neck

The Disciplinary Committee has found FC Dallas defender Reto Ziegler to have violated the league's policy regarding hands to the face, head or neck of an opponent. As a result, Ziegler has been fined an undisclosed amount. The incident took place in first-half stoppage time of the Dallas' match against Portland on Oct. 31.


Jonathan dos Santos hands to face/head/neck

The Disciplinary Committee has found LA Galaxy midfielder Jonathan dos Santos to have violated the league's policy regarding hands to the face, head or neck of an opponent. As a result, dos Santos has been fined an undisclosed amount. The incident took place in second-half stoppage time of the Galaxy's match against Houston on Oct. 28.


Sauro hands to the face/head/neck

The Disciplinary Committee has found Columbus Crew SC defender Gaston Sauro to have violated the league's policy regarding hands to the face, head or neck of an opponent. As a result, Sauro has been fined an undisclosed amount. The incident took place in stoppage time of the first half of extra time in Crew SC's match against D.C. United on Nov. 1.
