Atlanta United striker Josef Martinez scored a brave point-blank header after a wild sequence in the Juventus penalty box, leaping over defender Alex Sandro to nod home the bouncing ball and draw the MLS All-Star squad level at 1-1 in the first half.
The play began with a sharp cut and cross by Miguel Almiron that Martinez headed backwards into the path of Carlos Vela, whose shot was saved by Wojciech Szczesny – but Ignacio Piatti sent the rebound back across goal, where Martinez was the fastest to react, risking his body to bundle it home.
