The 2017 MLS Cup was a rematch, and the supporters for the respective sides carefully crafted their tifo to make sure their teams were sufficiently fired up for the game.
The home side, Toronto FC, featured a simple but powerful message from the supporters just before kickoff on Saturday: "Last year we said you made us believe. This year fulfill all of our dreams."
For the Seattle Sounders, who of course won the 2016 MLS Cup at BMO Field over TFC, the message from the traveling supporters, squeezed into a corner of the upper deck, was even more succinct: "Defend together."
In the end, Toronto FC won 2-0, capturing both their first MLS Cup title and the first domestic treble in MLS history.
