The Portland Timbers' next update on their search for a new head coach won't come until after the Thanksgiving holiday, according to a tweet sent Monday by owner Merritt Paulson.
Portland are looking for a replacement for Caleb Porter, after Porter – who led the Timbers to the MLS Cup title in 2015 – and the club suddenly and unexpectedly parted ways late last week.
No clear front-runner has emerged, though a tweet from the Toronto Sun's Kurt Larson indicated that Toronto FC assistant (and former Chivas USA head coach) Robin Fraser had been linked to the opening:
