Brian Rowe's acrobatic stop wins Save of the Week for Week 18

He kept the shutout and picked up all three points at the Seattle Sounders – now LA Galaxy goalkeeper Brian Rowe has a Save of the Week honor, too.

Rowe won Save of the Week for Week 18 for his acrobatic stop on Clint Dempsey’s looping header in the 76th minute of LA’s 1-0 win at CenturyLink Field last Saturday. It’s the second Save of the Week win of the year for Rowe, who also picked up the honor in Week 2.

Rowe comfortably beat Colorado Rapids goalkeeper Tim Howard in the final round of Save of the Week vote, topping the US national team ‘keeper by a 59-41 percent margin. He advanced past New England backstop Bobby Shuttleworth and Dallas goalkeeper Chris Seitz to advance to the final.
