One of US soccer's favorite power couples will welcome a new homegrown signing in 2016. US women’s national team and FC Kansas City striker Sydney Leroux and Sporting Kansas City forward Dom Dwyer announced on Monday that they’re expecting their first child in September.
Dwyer and Leroux wed last January.
Monday’s news will presumably keep Leroux out of this summer’s Olympic Games, though no doubt she and Dwyer are over the moon about the reason why. Congratulations to the couple and good luck with the pregnancy! And US soccer fans, get very excited for a potential future prodigy in the sport.
