Frank Lampard is a man of many talents. One of them ā in addition to manning the midfield for New York City FC ā is writing, as the author of the popular childrenās book series Frankieās Magic Soccer Ball.
And he recently sat down with Scholastic, publisher of childrenās books and educational materials, including Lampardās series, to discuss his love of reading and writing. Of the more interesting tidbits, Lampard said two classics, Treasure Island and The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, were the books that he loved as a kid and John Steinbeckās seminal novel Of Mice and Men really stoked his love for reading.
āAnd I still love it to this day as one of my favorite books,ā he said.
