A New York Red Bulls Under-23 player scored one of the finer goals you’ll ever see on Sunday, when North Carolina State sophomore forward Zach Knudson biked in a world-class finish during the Wolfpack’s 1-1 home draw against Notre Dame.
Knudson, who helped the Red Bulls’ U-23s to a runner-up finish in the USL Premier Development League this summer, got on the end of a Julius Duchscherer cross at the left post. He unleashed a bicycle kick into the top corner to pull No. 21 NC State level with the No. 7 Fighting Irish just after the hour mark.
Check out Knudson’s goal above — and remember the name: the 2014 All-ACC Freshman Team selection might soon land at an MLS club near you.
