Earlier this season, “Cubo” couldn’t miss: He fired home 14 goals in the first 19 games of the season, including a record-tying 6-game scoring streak. It was enough to get the youngster noticed by Mexico manager Miguel Herrera, who gave him his international debut this month. But Torres, like the Goats themselves, has hit a dry patch: He hasn’t scored since July 20.

What the technical staffers say: "I can't imagine where Chivas would be without him. He's carried that team and he hasn't been given a ton of chances. On another team, he'd probably be up with the Golden Boot leaders. But he's only got one year under his belt: Can he do it year after year?"
