It's one of the most embarrassing moments in sports: Getting hurt while celebrating a goal.
It's even more embarrassing if you're the team physiotherapist.
England physio Gary Lewin became a household name on Saturday night after Daniel Sturridge scored a 37th minute momentary equalizer in a World Cup Group D match against Italy in Manaus. Turns out he dislocated his ankle while celebrating the goal, halting play for a few minutes before he was ultimately carried off on a stretcher.
That's at least what we gathered from an official tweet by the English FA, which was later deleted: "England physio Gary Lewin was injured during celebrations for @England's goal. He has dislocated his ankle. Get well soon Gary #3Lions."
England manager Roy Hodgson confirmed the news in his postgame press conference: "That's a very sad moment for us. In celebrating the gaoal he jumped up and landed on a water bottle and dislocated his ankle. Very, very painful. He's been taken to hospital. I think the doctor was able to set it in and put it back at the side of the field. It's the end of the World Cup I'm afraid for Gary Lewin. A very sad moment for him and the team."
The squad also confirmed that Steve Kemp, who's already with the team, will be taking over Lewin's duties.
