Wolfsburg came from behind to demolish Stuttgart at the VW-Arena and increase the pressure on their under-fire coach Armin Veh.
Martin Lanig put Stuttgart ahead in the 17th minute, but two goals from Grafite in the 51st and 76th minutes turned the game around.
Edin Dzeko completed the rout with two late goals which keep the Wolves in touch with the top five teams in the Bundesliga.
Stuttgart arrived at the VW-Arena on a slide down the Bundesliga table without a win in the past four matches.
But the early signs were good as they went ahead in the 17th minute.
Mario Gomez swiveled inside the penalty area and his shot deflected up kindly into the path of Lanig, who poked it in past Diego Benaglio from close range.
It proved to be a false dawn for the Swabians as the home side then took control of the match.
Former Stuttgart midfielder Christian Gentner forced a save out of Jens Lehmann with a first-time shot from Dzeko's pass.
Dzeko had a number of chances to equalize with his head, but was unable to find the target as the Wolves went into the break somewhat unfortunately one goal behind.
They had to wait only six minutes of the second half before getting on terms, though.
Zvjezdan Misimovic forced a save out of Lehmann, but the ball spilled to Grafite, who dispatched the loose ball.
Stuttgart showed a good reaction with a Ludovic Magnin shot just missing the right upright, but Wolfsburg restored order and went ahead in the 76th minute.
Grafite netted his second of the game in similar style to his first, converting the loose ball after Lehmann could not hold it.
Dzeko made it three in the 79th minute and this time, Lehmann should really have done much better to stop the Wolfsburg striker, who made no mistake as the goal opened up before him.
And Dzeko completed the scoring five minutes from time, heading in Gentner's cross to pile the misery on the 2007 Bundesliga winners, who remain in 11th position, but now 13 points off the summit.
