Real Salt Lake are hoping to secure a home playoff game when they head on the road to take on the Vancouver Whitecaps at BC Place on Decision Day presented by AT&T.
The Whitecaps (8-15-10) are hoping to build off a wild 4-3 win over the LA Galaxy Sunday at Dignity Health Sports Complex. Vancouver had their fourth, and final, lead when Michaell Chirinos scored in second-half stoppage time, meaning the 'Caps now have two wins and a draw in their last three games.
Real Salt Lake (15-13-5) clinched an Audi 2019 MLS Cup Playoffs berth with a 2-1 win over the Houston Dynamo in goalkeeper Nick Rimando's final regular season home game. Jefferson Savarino scored the decisive goal in the 75th minute.
In the first meeting this season March 9 at Rio Tinto Stadium, Albert Rusnak scored the decisive – and only – goal from the penalty spot in the 21st minute to win it for RSL.
