The United States U-20 side fell 2-1 in the second of two friendlies against their French counterparts on Thursday.
Conor Doyle scored his second goal in as many games for the Americans. His 22nd-minute tally was sandwiched between France captain Gilles Sunu's 18th-minute goal and Yannis Tafer's game-winner in the 56th minute. Tafer also netted in Tuesday's 3-3 draw.
In the first match, which was held on Tuesday, the US managed a 3-3 draw against France.
Both games were part of a six-day training camp in Vichy, France, under interim head coach and former US international Tab Ramos. The camp ran from May 15-20.
France, which have not lost in their last 19 games, will travel to Colombia in July for the U-20 World Cup. The Americans, who missed out on their chance to particpate in the same competition, will return to the US to begin preparing for the 2013 cycle.
