Reserves: Revolution 1, Fire 0

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The Chicago Fire Reserves gave up an early goal that proved to be the difference in a 1-0 loss to the New England Revolution Reserves in a Major League Soccer (MLS) Reserve Division contest held at Gillette Stadium. The Fire Reserves are 0-2-1 on the season.

New England's Willie Sims scored the game-winner in the 42nd minute on assists from Arsene Oka and Wells Thompson. Sims finished a cross from Oka to register his second goal of the season.

The goal stood up despite pressure from the Fire in the closing seconds. Nate Norman sent a service that went wide of the goal at the final whistle, allowing goalkeeper Doug Warren to record the shutout behind five saves. The Revs are now 2-0-0.

The Fire Reserves return to action next Saturday (May 12) at Toronto (6 p.m. CT).
