Herron and his 'pretty beach'

CHICAGO - Life is not just about soccer for Chicago Fire forward Andy Herrón. Before coming to MLS, Herrón found a way to work profesionally on his other passion: music.

Back when he was in Costa Rica playing for Herediano, Herrón recorded a Reggae CD entitled "Playa Bonita" (Pretty Beach). To Herrón, music is so important that he would like to pursue a singing career when he retires from soccer.

Herrón will be on air Sunday at 4 p.m. CT to talk about soccer and music as the special guest for "Medio Tiempo", the sports show for "Radio Arte." The radio station - a youth initiative of the Mexican Fine Arts Center Museum - is an educational radio station that has served the Pilsen/Little Village neighborhood of Chicago for over six years.

To listen to Andy Herrón, tune in to 90.5 FM in the Chicago area. For those that live in other cities, listen online at www.radioarte.org.
