Dynamo, StatoilHydro to host Soccer Night Out

Houston Dynamo goalkeeper Tyler Deric will bring soccer back to his hometown this week, as the Dynamo and StatoilHydro host another Soccer Night Out on Thursday, October 15, at Meyer Park in the Spring/Klein area from 6-8 p.m. The event was rescheduled from September 24.

Deric, a 2007 graduate of Klein High School, grew up minutes away from Meyer Park and is looking forward to celebrating soccer in his hometown. The Soccer Night Out events are designed to bring local communities together for soccer-related games and activities.

"I'm really excited to go back to Meyer Park," Deric said. "I've had plenty of games and practices there. I love Meyer Park. It really gave me what I have right now - letting me practice every day. I love being out there and seeing everybody I know."

Forward Dominic Oduro will join Deric at the event, and team mascot Dynamo Diesel and the Dynamo Girls will also be on hand. The event will include pick-up soccer games, an inflatable soccer field, music, face-painting, balloon artists, and a raffle for Dynamo prizes.
