TFC Academy Under 16s return to action in the Canadian Soccer League Reserve Division tonight. The Reds take on Toronto Croatia Reserves at the Ontario Soccer Centre. Kick off is 7:00 p.m.
It is the U-16s second game of the week. On Monday they beat North York Astros Reserves 1-0 thanks to a late own goal created by Josh Janniere. "We had the majority of the possession and created plenty of chances but squandered them, said Under 16s Head Coach Stuart Neely. "The overall performance was very good considering we employed a new playing system for most of the match and problem solved as we played."
"I was very happy with the performance of the team given we had trained quite hard in the morning following a few days off," added Neely. "I wanted to test the waters with the boys both physically and mentally and they responded by playing some good football. All they want to do is play football and all I want to do is let them. Great stars of the future are in this group, there is no doubt in my mind that this will happen."
