A fan site of Argentine Big Five club Independiente, Soy Del Rojo, says Sporting Kansas City could be targeting one of its experienced defenders for a move during the currently open MLS Secondary Transfer Window.

Juan Sanchez Mino is the left back in question, who has reportedly said he wants out following four seasons tenure at Independiente, where he is still under contract. Prior to that, there were stops in Italy's Serie A and in Brazil's top flight following the 30-year-old's early football career with Boca Juniors. He has just over 300 pro appearances across all competitions, with the last 105 of those at Independiente.

Portuguese veteran Luis Martins, who was added as a free transfer last summer, has started at left back in all but one of Kansas City's eight matches in all competitions this season, but gave way to Jaylin Lindsey in the 2-1 victory at Minnesota United back on Friday.
