2020 Concacaf Champions League — Round of 16, Leg 2
LAFC vs. Club Leon
Bank of California Stadium — Los Angeles
February 27 — 10:00 PM ET
TV: FS1, TUDN
STREAMING: FOX Sports GO, TSN.ca/TSN App
If LAFC advance to the Concacaf Champions League quarterfinals, they'll need to make history against Club Leon at Bank of California Stadium Thursday night.
No MLS team have advanced after a 2-0 deficit in the opening leg, which is what LAFC faces after losing at Estadio Leon in their inaugural CCL match. Only Atlanta United last year advanced following a two-goal defeat, turning around a 3-1 loss at CD Herediano to win 4-0 at home.
Angel Mena scored two minutes from full time after Jean Meneses gave the hosts the lead in the 21st minute.
The winner meets either Portmore United or Cruz Azul in the quarterfinals. Courtesy of two second-half stoppage time goals, Cruz Azul take a 2-1 lead back to Azteca for the second leg Tuesday.
