MLS Commissioner Don Garber announced Wednesday that Portland Timbers head coach Giovanni Savarese has been fined an undisclosed amount for his halftime comments regarding the officiating during Portland's game against Sporting Kansas City on Sept. 7. Savarese's comments were in violation of the league's public criticism policy.
