2019 Season Preview: Orlando City SC

Orlando City SC's rebuild was punctuated by the arrival of Nani ... can he help lead his new club to the postseason for the first time?

Appointed in June, James O'Connor is set to enter his first full season in charge of OCSC with a full preseason behind him. Scoring goals shouldn't be an issue for the Lion as Nani joins Dom Dwyer and Sacha Kljestan in attack, but will the defense hold up in the Sunshine State?

Team strengths and weaknesses

  • Strength: On paper they have a bunch of MLS veterans – especially in midfield – who've been to the mountaintop and should know how to build a winning team in Florida. On paper.
  • Weakness: They had the worst defense in league history last year, and go into the season with question marks all across the backline and at 'keeper.
