TRANSFER TRACKER: Roster Update
The post-Oscar Pareja era is officially underway at FC Dallas, where the club exercised 2019 contract options on Jacori Hayes, Ryan Hollingshead, Victor Ulloa and Kyle Zobeck, while extending an offer to Tesho Akindele, whose contract expired at the end of the 2018 season, the club announced Monday.
Veterans Maynor Figueroa and Roland Lamah were among the players whose contract option for 2019 were not exercised. Also included are Abel Aguilar, Jordan Cano, Kris Reaves and Adonijah Reid.
FC Dallas didn’t live up to their own high expectations in 2018 and, after spending much of the season as the Western Conference leaders, bowed out of the Audi 2018 MLS Cup Playoffs with a Knockout Round loss to the Portland Timbers.
What followed was a somewhat stunning announcement that Pareja was stepping down as head coach, reportedly to take over as Club Tijuana head coach.
