The New York Red Bulls cut Atlanta United's Supporters' Shield lead to a single point with a 2-0 home victory on Sunday night. In his weekend review, Armchair Analyst Matt Doyle noted how Red Bulls boss Chris Armas combined the best of his team's talents to make up for the absence of Tyler Adams and Bradley Wright-Phillips. Sporting KC and RSL draw in key West contest
Sunday's late game saw Sporting Kansas City fight back for a 1-1 draw with visiting Real Salt Lake. Meanwhile, FS1 commentator Stuart Holden reported that the Claret and Cobalt have agreed to an extension that will make playmaker Albert Rusnak the highest-paid player in club history. Galaxy, TFC keep hope alive
A Zlatan Ibrahimovic double took his season total to 20 goals as the LA Galaxy rang up a 3-0 triumph over visiting Vancouver. The result allowed the hosts to move to within two points of the playoff line. RECAP

Scoreless draws in Portland, Columbus
Portland and West leaders FC Dallas shared the points after a scoreless draw at Providence Park. The teams combined for 21 shots, but only managed to put four on target. RECAP
Elsewhere, Columbus maintained their one-point edge in the race for fourth place in the East with a 0-0 draw with visiting Philadelphia. The Union thought they had a first half ice-breaker through Cory Burke, but the goal was waved off by a controversial foul. RECAP
Fire, Loons playing spoiler
