It was sunny when Toronto FC arrived in Denver for their CONCACAF Champions League showdown with the Colorado Rapids on Tuesday night (10 pm ET | TSN2; UnivisionDeportes.com).
But in a twist that probably surprised no one, it began snowing the next day as the players were forced to prepare for the game at a cold and messy Dick’s Sporting Good Park.
There has been some very memorable soccer played in blizzard-like conditions in Colorado before, of course. But could Tuesday’s game actually be the coldest ever between two MLS teams?
Here’s a look at the two teams — two cold-weather teams, thankfully — getting ready for the match Monday.
The work is done. All that’s left to do is play.
