TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS:Report
After reports emerged in Europe in January that LAFC were looking to add Portuguese midfielder Andre Horta, comes an update from this side of the Atlantic.
ESPN's Jeff Carlisle reported on Friday that LAFC are nearing a deal to bring in Horta, a 21-year-old midfielder currently playing on loan at Braga from Benfica.
The Portuguese youth international is a well-regarded young player, having started his career at Vitoria Setubal before moving to Benfica, the defending Portuguese Primeira champion. At Braga this season, he has been on a roll recently, scoring a goal and three assists in five games.
LAFC open their inaugural season on March 4 at the Seattle Sounders (5 pm ET | ESPN).
