MLS WORKS, TFC team up to help Toronto community organization

In conjunction with Saturday's 2017 MLS Cup, MLS WORKS and Toronto FC have collaborated with WoodGreen Community Services to renovate a multi-purpose room to be used by hundreds of teens and young adults served by WoodGreen Community Services.

The room was dedicated in a ceremony Thursday attended by TFC players Jay Chapman, Jordan Hamilton, Ashtone Morgan and Ben Spencer

WoodGreen provides a range of services -- including counseling, housing, employment, financial empowerment, health and wellness, arts clubs and sports -- to new arrivals to the Toronto region.

MLS WORKS and TFC are also making a donation in support of WoodGreen's youth soccer league to provide new equipment, apparel and year-long programming that include's access to indoor facilities. Toronto FC’s soccer development team will conduct clinics and facilitate alumni appearances.

On Friday, players from that league were treated to an authentic Toronto FC first-team training experience.
