Real Salt Lake forward Yura Movsisyan won the Etihad Airways MLS Player of the Month on Friday, bagging 36.77 percent of the vote to take top honors for June.
Movsisyan played in three of his club's four matches in June – scoring a goal in all three of those appearances, helping RSL to two wins and a draw.
With his June surge, Movsisyan now leads RSL's balanced scoring attack with six goals.
He took the monthly honors in a field that also included NYCFC midfielder Jack Harrison (1 goal, 1 assist, league-high 11 dribbles completed in 3 games in June, 22.01%), Union midfielder Roland Alberg (5 goals in 3 MLS appearances, 21.15%), Timbers midfielder Diego Valeri (2 goals, 2 assists in 3 games, 12.32%) and D.C. United keeper Bill Hamid (1-1-1 record, 2GA, 14 saves in 3 matches, 7.75%).
The five Etihad Airways Player of the Month finalists are selected at the end of each month by the MLSsoccer.com editorial staff. The winner is then determined by a fan vote.
