The Canadian Soccer Association confirmed on Thursday that the Canadian Under-23 national team will play Guyana's national team in a friendly on May 15.

The friendly will come as part of a training camp for Canadian players born in 1993 or later, and the friendly will help Guyana's senior team prepare for upcoming 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup qualifying.

Canada's U-23 team placed fourth at the 2015 CONCACAF Men's Olympic Qualifying Championship, just missing out on a path to the 2016 Rio Olympics via intercontinental playoff.
