MLS Disciplinary Committee fines Toronto FC's Michael Bradley for public criticism of match officials

Michael Bradley protests with referee David Gantar (September 13, 2014)

NEW YORK – The Major League Soccer Disciplinary Committee announced Tuesday that it has fined Toronto FC midfielder Michael Bradley for his public criticism of match officials following his team’s 1-1 draw against the Chicago Fire on Sept. 12.

The amount of the fine was not disclosed.

Bradley was critical of head referee David Gantar after he waved off an apparent goal in the 90th minute by TFC striker Gilberto for a foul committed on Fire defender Bakary Soumare.

Bradley and Toronto return to action at home on Saturday against the Portland Timbers.
