Despite playing in just 10 games after signing with the club in midsummer, Gilberto finished the 2015 season as Chicago’s fourth-leading scorer with five goals. A talented forward able to serve as a target and work in the channels, he’s also a capable provider, tallying seven assists in 38 career MLS games with Chicago and Toronto.

OUTSIDE MLS: Gilberto has yo-yoed between MLS and the Brazilian first division in his young career, turning pro in 2011 with Brazilian club Internacional, moving to Toronto in 2014 and getting loaned back to Brazil for the first half of 2015 before returning to MLS with Chicago. He has a relatively strong goal-scoring rate in Brazil, scoring nine goals in 23 games with Vasco de Gama in 2015, 14 goals in 24 games with Portuguesa in 2013, seven goals in 25 games with Sport Recife in 2012 and four goals in 30 games with Internacional from 2011-2013.
