Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez left off of Manchester United's traveling squad for tour of US

Javier Hernandez, Chicharito, frustrated

Coming off a disappointing 2013-14 season with Manchester United, Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez might have hoped an impressive preseason in the United States under new manager Louis van Gaal would lead to bigger and better things. He won't get that chance.

Man. United announced their traveling roster for the tour on Friday morning, with the Mexico star nowhere to be found. It will come as a shock for Mexican national team fans who expected to see the El Tri player in the flesh, and helps fuel rumors of an impending departure from the club.

Allaying those fears is the fact that fellow World Cup stars Robin van Persie, Patrice Evra, Marouane Fellaini, and Adnan Januzaj are also skipping the US tour.

The Red Devils are slated to play four matches while in the United States, with their first game being played against the LA Galaxy on July 23 at the Rose Bowl. From there they will begin play in the International Champions Cup as they will face off against AS Roma in Denver (July 26), Inter Milan in Washington, D.C. (July 29), and Real Madrid in Ann Arbor, Mich. (August 2).
