AT&T MLS Goal of the Week update: Free kick by Seattle Sounders' Clint Dempsey dominating field

2014 AT&T Goal of the Week (Week 6)

The Week 6 AT&T MLS Goal of the Week award isn't officially in Clint Dempsey's name yet, but it looks like just a matter of time.

As of Thursday morning, the Seattle Sounders and US national team star's blistering free-kick strike against FC Dallas is way out in front of this week's race with more than 61 percent of the vote. Portland's Will Johnson is running a distant second place with 15.77 percent.

Andrew Wenger's first goal for his new team, the Philadelphia Union, occupies third place with 8.86 percent, while LA Galaxy striker Robbie Keane (7.34 percent) and Columbus Crew maestro Federico Higuain (6.39 percent) round out the trailing pack.

But you can still cast your ballot for your favorite goal before voting ends! The winner is determined by the total number of votes cast online and will be announced on Friday.

Voting runs until 11:59 pm PT on Thursdays. For complete coverage of the AT&T MLS Goal of the Week — including an archive of all of this season's nominees and winners — click here.
