VIDEO: Toronto Mayor Rob Ford smashes two penalty kicks past child goalkeeper | SIDELINE

Toronto Mayor Rob Ford

It's been a while since the Canadian national team last scored a goal — 13 months next week, to be exact.

It doesn't have to be like that anymore, though. The solution to those scoring woes may have been right under their noses all along.

Just check out the above video.

I think that's Rob Ford, the much maligned Mayor of Toronto, who last week went upper-90 — not once, but twice — on a U-12 goalkeeper.

Yes, the same man who fell on his backside while attempting to drop back to throw a pass with not another soul anywhere near him.

The next time Canada are awarded a penalty kick, we know who head coach Benito Floro needs to sub in to smash it home.
