Thierry Henry is essentially what's known as "that guy."

Urban Dictionary defines "that guy" as "the person everyone loves to hate and never wants to become."

In Henry's case, it's quite the opposite; every other player wants to be the New York Red Bulls star. Henry being "that guy" refers to his ability to either do, or think to do, certain things on the soccer field that no one else does, can do or even thinks to do.

And it matters not whether it's the preseason of game No. 34 of the regular season. Example No. (roughly) 634 from his time in Major League Soccer is the above GIF from Wednesday night's preseason tune-up against the Philadelphia Union.

When that particular ball falls to any other player, they're going to try to settle it, hold off the man on their back and quickly locate their nearest outlet for support.

Not Henry; he's going to take six or seven quick touches, juggling the ball in the air, while surrounded by three defenders. And skate out of trouble like it's nothing.

Other examples of Henry being "that guy": Henrying; juggling down the sideline; having a go to help win the Supporters Shield. See also: his Best Of compilation.

Like Henry, someone else from that same game on Wednesday showed out just a bit with the below dribbling sequence by fighting off half the Red Bulls' team, the No. 15 overall pick in this year's SuperDraft Pedro Ribeiro.
