MLS Disciplinary Committee sanctions Seattle's Gonzalez

RSL's Alvaro Saborio and Seattle's Leo Gonzalez vie for possession.

Seattle Sounders defender Leo Gonzalez is once again in the crosshairs of the MLS Disciplinary Committee.

Nearly two months to the day after he was suspended and fined for stepping on the leg of Philadelphia Union defender Sheanon Williams, the Costa Rican was fined again on Friday. This time for "embellishing contact" in a play involving Real Salt Lake's Alvaro Saborio during their July 4 match (watch the play below).

It's the second announcement by the Disciplinary Committee this week and it comes 24 hours after the body suspended the LA Galaxy's David Beckham and also fined his manager Bruce Arena as well as Montreal Impact head coach Jesse Marsch.

All fines are donated to charitable partners of MLS W.O.R.K.S. and the MLS Players Union.
