Should Landon Donovan go back to Everton this off-season?
LA Galaxy captain Landon Donovan was talking this week about possibly returning to Everton on loan this off-season. Last year, of course, he enjoyed a stellar two-month spell on Merseyside, and many US soccer fans thrilled at his every touch--and his goals--at Goodison Park. He exorcised his Eurodemons and proved to many that, yes, the MLSer could easily compete in the EPL.
There is no formal invitation to return to Everton, but it certainly seems in the offing. But after two full years with little rest and the added international duties of the Confederations Cup and the World Cup, LD is also contemplating actually taking the off-season, well, off.
