Minnesota United FC sign goalkeeper Eric Dick
TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Signing Minnesota United FC have signed goalkeeper Eric Dick for the 2022 MLS season after selecting him in Stage 2 of the Re-Entry Draft, the club announced Tuesday.
2018-2020 (Sporting KC): Selected in the First Round of the 2018 MLS SuperDraft by Sporting Kansas City, Dick was with the club from 2018-2020, featuring for Swope Park Rangers in 2018-2019, while also spending time on loan with USL Championship sides FC Tulsa (2019) and Phoenix Rising (2020).
COLLEGE
At the collegiate level, Dick played for Butler University in Indianapolis from 2014-2017, making 71 appearances (all starts). During his tenure with Butler University, the goalkeeper helped the Butler Bulldogs win the 2016 Big East Conference Championship while also being named the 2016 Big East Most Outstanding Defensive Player and the 2017 Big East Conference Goalkeeper of the Year.
YOUTH
At the youth level, Dick played for the Indiana Fire Academy and attended Carmel High School in Carmel, Indiana, where he was a two-time All-District and All-County performer.
