Leagues Cup: Played and started in all four matches...logged 360 minutes played...recorded two clean sheets, which was tied for the most in the tournament...saved a penalty kick in the 90th minute against Atletico de San Luis, which led to New York winning their group. Playoffs: Started and played in three matches.

2022 (New York): MLS: Started and played in 33 matches for New York ... collected a career-high 15 wins ...totaled 73 saves this season...tallied eight clean sheets ... earned his first clean sheet of the season on April 2 against New England Revolution. Playoffs: Made second career start in the MLS Cup Playoffs against FC Cincinnati on October 15 ... tallied a career playoff high four saves over 90 minutes. Open Cup: Played in three matches during the tournament ... earning his first career Open Cup victory in his first appearance in the tournament against Charlotte FC in Round of 16...tallied his first Open Cup clean sheet in the Quarterfinals against New York City FC.

2021 (New York): MLS: One of two Red Bulls players to play every minute this season (3,060)... recorded 13 shutouts, which was tied for first in MLS... tallied 89 saves... his 13 shutouts is ranked second for most shutouts in a single season in franchise history... earned a 0.97 GAA...set a new career-high in saves in a single game with eight against New England Revolution on May 22. Playoffs: Made his first career start in the MLS Cup Playoffs against Philadelphia Union on Nov. 20... made two saves in 120 minutes of action.

2019 (Philadelphia Union/Bethlehem Steel FC): MLS: Started three of his four appearances...recording nine saves and only allowing two goals...earned his first clean sheet on March 23 against Columbus Crew SC...tallied four wins in his four appearances. USL: Started eight matches in net...recorded 36 saves in 720 minutes of play.

PRIOR TO NEW YORK

Has spent the last two seasons with RB Salzburg ... most notably earned three appearances, including two starts, during the 2019-20 UEFA Champions League Group Stage ... tallied a 1-1-1 record with eight saves and a 1.52 goals against average.

After two-and-a-half seasons at Red Bull Brasil Under-20s, he began his professional career with FC Liefering, second-division club affiliated with RB Salzburg, at 18-years-old ... over three years with Liefering, he accrued 20 cleansheets in 67 Erste Liga matches over 6,030 minutes played ... wore the captain’s armband 16 times while with Liefering.

Also spent time in MLS, being loaned for six months from RB Salzburg to the Philadelphia Union during the 2019 season ... made four appearances for Union, tallying two shutouts and a 4-0-0 mark ... also saw time with Philadelphia Union II, making eight appearances in 720 minutes played.

INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE

Coronel made his first career cap for Paraguay on September 7 against Peru in 2026 CONMEBOL World Cup Qualifying and recorded his first clean sheet for the national team in the 0-0 draw. Since his first cap, Coronel has made six total caps for Paraguay and has recorded three clean sheets.

New York Red Bulls completed the transfer of Carlos Coronel from Red Bull Salzburg and signed him to a three-year MLS contact with a club option on December 6, 2021.
