MUNICH - Bolton striker Kevin Davies' late strike saw his side beat the odds and record a remarkable 2-2 draw at Bayern Munich.


Ricardo Gardner's first goal in almost five years gave the visitors a shock lead before the Bundesliga leaders equalised on the stroke of half-time through Lukas Podolski.


Podolski's second goal four minutes into the second half looked to have given the hosts the three points but Davies struck in the 82nd minute to level the Group F match.

Nonda grabbed a second in the dying minutes but it was a case of too little too late for the hosts in a Group H game.


Fiorentina stunned Swedish side Elfsborg as they romped to a 6-1 rout.

But La Viola killed off the game in spectacular fashion in the second half with goals from Marco Donadel and Per Kroldrup before Jorgensen grabbed his second and Samuele Di Carmine completed Elfsborg's humiliation with three minutes to go.


Villarreal's 2-1 victory over Mlada Boleslav puts them level on points with Fiorentina at the top of Group C.

Karol Kisel scored the winner two minutes from time to give Sparta Prague a crucial victory at Toulouse in Group E.


Johan Elmander had put the home side ahead on 14 minutes before Kisel equalised in the 67th minute and Libor Dosek fired them into the lead a minute later.


Fode Mansare levelled matters for Toulouse with 10 minutes to go but Kisel's late strike saw Sparta take all three points.


Late goals from Mikel Arteta and substitute Victor Anichebe gave Everton a well-deserved 2-0 victory at Nurnberg which keeps them in control of Group A.


Anichebe came on in the 75th minute and earned a penalty seven minutes later which was calmly converted by Arteta and Anichebe doubled their advantage two minutes from time to maintain Everton's 100% start in the group.


Bordeaux came from behind to emerge 2-1 victors at Austria Vienna and maintain their perfect start to Group H.
