CARSON, CA - Los Angeles Galaxy players Todd Dunivant and Troy Roberts will be spending some of their time reading to children at Hawthorne Library this Thursday, August 4, at 1:30 pm.
The readings are a part of the Galaxy's efforts in MLS' Kick Out of Reading!/¡Lee y Marca un Golazo!, the bilingual literacy program that utilizes the sport of soccer to deliver positive messages about the value and fun of reading to children nationwide.
Locally, Hormel Foods/Herdez and Kohl's Department Store have come aboard as sponsors of the Los Angeles Galaxy's Get a Kick Out of Reading program. Both of these sponsors along with 2005 Galaxy player spokesman Kevin Hartman and his Galaxy teammates recognize the importance of literacy and are committed to relaying that message to the children in our community.
