Brad Guzan could be on his way to Middlesborough, according to a report from an English outlet.
The Daily Mail reported earlier this week that the English Premier League newcomers are looking to sign two goalkeepers this summer and have had discussions about signing Guzan.
The US’s starter at the Copa America Centenario, the 31-year-old Guzan is coming off of a rough year with Aston Villa. He was benched on two separate occasions last season, which saw Villa finish in dead last in the Premier League to get relegated to the English Championship.
SI’s Grant Wahl reported prior to the start of the Copa America that Guzan had drawn interest from a pair of Premier League clubs and that he’d consider a move to MLS if the right offer came along. The Chicago-area native moved from Chivas USA to Aston Villa in 2008.
