Report: Could Brazilian World Cup center back be heading to MLS after European season?

Dante - Brazil - Celebrate

Most US soccer fans probably remember Dante from Germany's demolition of Brazil in the 2014 World Cup semifinals, as the Brazilian replaced Thiago Silva along the Brazil backline after Silva accumulated too many yellow cards.

But Dante has also been one of the top center backs in Germany over the past five years and there are rumors that the 32-year-old could be setting his eyes on MLS.

A report in Bild, the German newspaper, has agents shopping around the idea of Dante coming to MLS after the European season finishes in the summer.

This would be a little bit of a shock as the Brazilian just changed clubs this past August, moving from Bayern Munich to Wolfsburg after three successful seasons with the German giants. Dante helped Bayern win three straight Bundesliga titles and played all 90 minutes in their 2013 UEFA Champions League final victory over Borussia Dortmund.

Dante has made 11 appearances for Wolfsburg this season and has played at least 25 matches in each of the past four Bundesliga seasons.
