Week 27 will be a lighter week in terms of MLS regular season game action than usual, but there are still games of importance. While LAFC have already booked their ticket to the Audi 2019 MLS Cup Playoffs, they have a chance to clinch the top spot in the Western Conference this season. What does that mean? With the new playoff format this season, with every round being one game, LAFC would have home-field advantage through the Western Conference Championship round.
In other words, seeding will be vital because home-field advantage could prove to be pretty, pretty important for the playoffs in 2019.
